    Are you paying?

There was an error rendering this rich post.

  • hmm., if we look at plans & pricing then it will be clear that available features depend on pricing.
it may be better to have hosting at a different web host

I would think that the hosted option does not come with All of the plugins installed, but they should allow you to install them (60 seconds of work). If not, you should host elsewhere.

  • if you can theme, i.e. add html you can add google analytics which is a client side code. You don't need a plugin for that.

They will probably add more plugins in the future, but they are not going to a add every unapproved plugin that may break their system.

The point of hosted system is you get optimised severs, load balancing, cloud technology, etc, etc. which you are not goign to get the equivalent capacity, or expertise on cheap hosts, you also get specialist support.

I'm not sure which package their Email Integration is on, but again that is far more advance, and requires infrastructure that most cheapo hosting cannot provide.

I deal with self hosted as a programmer, and quite often people are dealing with load issues.

Again you have to make the decision if it is right for you, but certainly for some it is a perfect solution, not to have to worry about setting up maintaining on their own.

    grep is your friend.

Wouldn't this be a question better directed to the vanillaforums.com support email?

maybe you just need to ask for an approval on the plugin you want.

I don't think they're that strict, and might even provide an alternative solution for your case.

same question with 422? are you paying or currently on trial?
