Directing Forum to Sub Domain
edited April 2012 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
I'm new to Vanilla with very very minimal PHP experience.
I am setting up Vanilla, but would like it to only show up under the sub domain. I would like to have a main site at www.example.com, with a link to forum.example.com.
Currently vanilla is eating www.example.com/index.html when I put in a index file.
I would like the forums to only show up in the sub domain.
I'm guessing there is something I need to edit in my htaccess file?
Thanks for the help
how is this being hosted? is the sub domain set up?
wouldn't it be easier to just put the forum in a sub-folder? www.example.com/forum

Hosting is through fatcow.
I guess I'm not sure how you install into a sub folder. When I install to sub directories, it still eats my front page.
Figured it out.
@emerett this should help
