Is it possible to import an old 1.1.8 SQL dump to the latest version?

Hi guys, I've just found an old SQL backup from 2009 & wondered if it was possible to import all the old users & discussions to the latest version? Looks like all the tables have changed name so I'm sure theres a lot thats changed, but if its possible it'd be great!
