error in facebook connect "cannot register accounts - stucked in registration form"

i activated the built-in facebook connect and tested. i cant seem to successfully register any accounts using the facebook connect plugin. 
is the plugin being used in this forum, same on every vanilla forum?
if yes, how do i fix it?
