[Solved] I killed myself by rejecting my username!*

edited June 2012 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8

Guys! help me ...

I put my username under Applicants role from dashboard. then I decline it (I thought it shouldn't allowed).

Now I can't access the board! when I want to login I get this error: Sorry, no account could be found related to the email/username and password you entered

    Go to your phpMyAdmin

Compare your username with a user that was allowed. Look at both user statuses

Also look at the roles of both users

Did you make a backup of your MySQL database before this happened?

I asked from my host-provider! they say the latest backup is for last week! replacing will cause losing many topics.

I install a fresh vanilla and compare the both GDN_User tables, then, filling according to the fresh one. Now I'm at dashboard! I can login. thank you!

    Is it a bug?

Holy c... how come they don't make daily backups?

I had other things in mind with that backup. We never restore a backup over the old site. It's just the situation from before everything went down the hill :-)

Don't really know. Luckily we have a way of fixing if it ever happens again to someone else :-)
