Able to make tags expire?

I want popular tags to expire after a set amount of time: week, month, year, etc. Currently I do not see the options in Vanilla Forums or any add-ons. Does this plugin have this option, or if not can you implement it in next update? Is there a current way to set it make tags expire or show only top 10 for example? If you give me the source doc and variable I can change it as I am not completely a novice.

    add this on your main .htaccess manually

    ExpiresActive on and specify the files you want to expire
