Allow question asking before registration window?

This site allows guests to type their questions first, and then asks them to log in/create an account:

Can vanillaforum do this?

Vanilla cannot do this by default. You have to do some figuring out, for example show the comment entry box to a user that is not logged in, then let's see what happens if you enter a comment. Some stuff to look into then :-)
