Importing sql on new install

I messed up with some of the files on my old Vanilla 2 forum. I've put in place a fresh install. I now want to import the old .sql database that I have saved.

I'm finding this tricky...

Any suggestions please?

It's not clear how things are set up on your system.

Assuming you have a standard webhosting package, you should just be able to edit your conf.php file in the new install to point to the existing database.

Delete the .ini files in your cache folder and you should be good to go.
