Vanilla Installation Path

edited August 2012 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8

Hello guys,

I have just started using Vanilla and I really love it so far.

My installation was made on a website built in CakePHP (not sure if it matters), right now the forum location is: www.websitename/app/webroot/forums

I would like to know if there is any setting or configuration that I can make in order to display the forum like this: www.websitename/forums

I`m not sure if it has to do with the htaccess or a config file but I have tried a lot of things by now.

Hope someone out there can help me.

All the best!

I would have thought the easiest thing to do would be to

1 create a folder called forums in your website root directory

2 copy your vanilla folders/files to it

3 delete the ini files in the cache folder

Then you should be all set.
