Gmail as SMTP
SpongeBob
New
My server do not have SMTP server. I wish to use gmail.
I set to use remote server
smtp.gmail.com
port 465
SSL
I get no error and no emails
I checked apache error.log and there is no errors either.
I read the forum and it seems other people are getting some errors or post relate to older version that had no SSL support.
Please, advice

Please, confirm if any remote SMTP works for you.
I've used gmail in the past and they've worked fine. Maybe gmail is cracking down on this?
Is there way to debug it?
Thank You
I don't know if you want to test with this, it works quite well for me.

I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
I ran fakemail.py on server, set localhost 10025 no ssl in vanilla and sent private message. Nothing happened. Registered user. Nothing emailed again. I just setup forum. It has default settings.
./fakemail.py --host=localhost --port=10025 --path=.
Starting fakemail.py
Listening on port 10025
