Drag and Drop Categories stopped working

I have turned off all my plugins and reverted back to the original theme and yet still I am unable to drag and drop my category order. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this. It worked before.

there are some suggestions in a recent post I can't recall the comment, but you could search for it through google, since I think the search on this forum is now temporarily out of commission due to a possible cache problem maybe.

post your firebug results, versions of jquery, os , browser, version of vanilla, and use the default vanilla theme as a test.

Using the firefox web console, I found the problem originating from a jquery file returning an error ("d is undefined") when I tried dragging the categories. I was able to fix this problem by reverting my version of jquery.js (in /js/library/) from 1.8.1 back to 1.6.2.
