Login Problem "Oops, Page Not Found"

edited September 2012 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8

HI,

I have an issue with my Vanilla Forums page. Everytime a user tries to login (Facebook, Twitter, OpenID or Google), a bonk page comes up reading ""Oops, Page Not Found". However, despite the page, the user is actually still able to log in.

So i wouldn't say it's an issue logging in, but rather the pop up window that appears when someone tries to login. What it is doing is driving people away form our forums because they think they are not logged in when they are.

Attached is a screen shot of what the pop up window looks like.

Any help i can get on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Is it a bonk or a page not found? Try changing theme and see if you get a bonk or a page not found.

also look in your server logs for errors.
if it is a bonk - do what you should do when you get bonk errors.

I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

  • Hi @peregrine It was a page not found. You can check the image out in my previous comment.

Thanks for your comment. What is the best thing to do when you get bonk errors??

  • bonk is not the same as page not found.

for bonk - go to the documentation page and look for your self. or search for bonk

for page not found - identify what the url it is looking for in your access logs.

best I can do - maybe somebody else can help you.
