Notifications not working at activities section

I'm using vanilla 2.0.18.4. Even I checked all the box, the notifications only work when I receiver a private message and comment on my discussion. But I didn't receive any notifi when someone writes on my wall or comment on my activities. Does anyone bear this situations. I also installed both 2.0.17.1 , 2.0.18.4 and 2.0.1a in WAMP and my free host. The notification still doesn't work
