How do I make discussions public to non-logged in?

I've finally been able to upgrade vanilla from a very early install to the latest. When loading the forum, the default view is "no discussions found". Can I make that public in some way? (it used to be previously)

@Ele I'm a newb as well, so I'm not sure but if you're in your dashboard unter roles&permissions you should have a guest account in which you set the view check for all the categories you like to be viewed by unregistered visitors.

  • Don't you just have to allow to your guest account the view option?

  • I don't see any Guest role or settings anywhere...

  • You're right; it was the "Unauthenticated" role. The checkbox is way down the page. Looks like it's working now. Thanks!
