rounded corners on EmbedFriendly theme?

I'm trying to get rounded corners on the EmbedFriendly theme, and for some reason using border-radius on the .banner (in custom.css) isn't working.
I'm a complete newbie so I must be approaching it wrong, is there a simple way to do this??

Do you have a link for us? It's pretty hard to give css advices without the full source code as it depends on so many things.
