API on .com & .org

I have been asked by an existing user to incorporate the forum into a mobile app.
I am slightly confused about what api's are available.
On vanillarforums.com I see http://vanillaforums.com/blog/api/
On vanillarforums.org I see http://vanillaforums.org/addon/542/api-json

The client is using the free edition.

Which api's are available on the free version.

Cheers

The .org api is available on the free version while the .com api is only available on the hosted version.

I've seen people use vanilla embed to embed a forum into their mobile app without having to use any api. Have you tried that?

  • I'll have a look at that thanks.

Where do I find that is it an add on? (new to vanilla).

I was hoping to be able to login to a mobile app (using the vanillaforums user details) and pass these to vanillaforums. Is this possible.

    Cheers

  • there is also tapatalk api, which is now supports vanilla.

    grep is your friend.
