Is the official term of Vanilla plugins addons, or plugins?
Are they Vanilla plugins/addons, or are they Garden plugins/addons?

Addon include applications, plugins, themes and locales.
Technically it is Garden addons. You could say applications are in a different category, because they are defining the application using framework, but there is some crossover with plugins as they can do that also.
