My site been getting spammed with bots registering, we have the recaptcha installed and turned on but it seems they have found a way to get passed it and so right not everyone has to register than I approve. Is there some plugin/addon I can install to replace recaptcha or does anyone know how I can just create my own? Requiring a password I placed in myself?

likely, they aren't bots to begin with. just spammers getting paid to drop links on the internet.

no they were bots. It's obvious when it's a bot and when it's not. But we havn't had any new bots after installing this plugin.
