Even if the addon is a beta, if you need a CMS you could still try it on a test website and see if it could do what you need. Then you can avail of the support on the forum to address possible issues, or hire someone to add more functionality to the plugin.
I haven't looked at it, but perhaps it could be a good starting point for a custom CMS solution, rather than starting from scratch or waiting until somebody comes out with something better.
