Thinking to create a plugin for Users Photo Gallery

Recently, I was looking for some plugin that it would allow our users to Upload photo albums/pictures but I couldn't find one and I am thinking to roll one for this job. Any ideas or suggestions? I will do it for my own community but I can add more functionality and share it if people like the idea.

Hm, probably the author wanted to create a gallery for admins-only. Anyway, I will probably create a brand new one based on a ready class that I have in mind and I am working often in my apps.

There are a couple of developers who seem to be thinking on the same lines as you.

I did, but most of them are unfortunately posts like a year ago and the development goes down the hill in some, so instead of asking around, I will just work on it a bit and roll out my own to share with the other people in here.

I think it would be great if you want to develop and freely share your own.
The way I see it, is the more functional plugins available from the add-ons section the better

• it supports the user community with more free options
• it supports the other users in providing new structures to learn from.
• it is a way to give back to the community, if you gleaned anything from it.

lol but true...which is why it needs fixing lmao

People could add a Gallery category and post the pics there. Or upload and post to ExtraPage . If you could make a plugin which routs the upload to post on a specific page that would be handy. People could pick what category or page to post to.

Sorry to ask, but from what i've seen i'm not sure if a user gallery exists. Anyone accomplished this with Vanilla 2.0.X?
