How to add tags with multiple words?

Is there a way to add a tag with multiple words. For example, if I want a tag which says 'My Name' it does not work and both My and Name are taken as two different tags. Can you please help me with this?
thanks!

My_name
There was an error rendering this rich post.
Are you sure that you can't? I just tested this in my 2.1 install and it worked fine just typing two words and hitting enter.
yep you use
my-name
That is is fairly standard way.
grep is your friend.
@x00 it's a fairly standard way only because of limitations in tagging systems. If your goal is for the community at large to adopt and use a tagging system, you can't expect everyone to understand what the tricks are.
Regardless though it seems to work just fine here with more that one word and spaces.
I have tried and it doesn't work for me. Once I type one word and hit space, the first word is converted into a tag. Can you please help? I can use hyphen, but then how do I explain that to users?
the only way to put several words into a tag that I know of besideswritingallintooneword is separating them with a - or a coma depending on the system. Here a - is used. you don't hit space. you put the word-word-word-word-word-and-word then you hit enter or post , then you can go back and edit those tags for which they will be saved and not deleted. You can write instructions for your users .

Seems fine to me: http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/22452/tag-test
Then it may be browser dependent? like on safari if you hit space it posts the tag....I aded this tag add-link-to-mobile coz it did not like the space
