I am in the same situation (as : ), but I can't change the host because my Vanilla installed on a shared hosting, and it's database port is 65000. How can I set up connection?

    I've also tried to add:

    $Configuration['Database']['Port'] = '65000';

    but neither doesn't work.

    Also, the mysql server is located on remote host:

    $Configuration['Database']['Host'] = '';

    it might be an issue with how PDO is configured.

    grep is your friend.
