Embedding Vanilla into Wordpress

Hi,

I have fresh installation of Vanilla version 2.0.18.4 with a fresh install of Wordpress 3.5 running the Vanilla plugin version 1.1.14.

The WP installation is on a test box on my LAN at http://172.21.146.214/vanilla_wp/, the Vanilla installation itself is at http://172.21.146.214/vanilla/ (which is working fine).

I've installed the Embed plugin into Vanilla, and pasted the code it gives me into the "Dicsussion" page that appears in Wordpress. The embed code is:

However, when I view the Discussion page in WP, nothing is shown. I assume simply pasting in the embed code into that page is enough? I can see it in the source to that page.

I've also enabled the Recent Discussions widget in WP, which shows some discussion threads from the forum. However, when I click on those they 404, for example:

I can't see any errors, or other indications of problems. One thing I noted was that when I installed the WP plugin, it said it hadn't been tested on my version of WP. I also notice that the WP plugin created two Discussions pages. Not sure if that's significant, I've deleted the one it wasn't using but that's not changed anything.

Does anyone know if embedding Vanilla in WP can work? Searching these forums indicates that perhaps the whole thing has fallen apart.

Try without the vanilla plugin to embed the application into wp.
