Category notification for all users - How can i do that?

How can i enable category notification for all users? when new topic raised on all category's all users will get email notification. now it's an options for all users to do it manual, but how can i enable it for all users?

i get this request from most users, instead of telling uses "go to here and here...... and enable this......" and also doing it by myself, how can i automatically enable it?

you can add bookmarks through a direct sql statement. not generally advisable to go around plunking with the database, but in this case, it's by far the easiest solution to your problem.

just back things up before you go mucking about.

@hbf thank you for your replay, But how can i do that? i have know idea how to edit sql database file. Is there easy way to do this, or can give a step-by-step?

without some experience with mysql administration, this would be a risky proposition. maybe someone else is willing to try to walk you through it but I'm not willing to take on that responsibility. sorry.

if you really need to do this, and can't get the SQL figured out, gimme a hollar and I can create a plugin for $$
