File type icons for attachments
vrijvlinder
MVP
I would like the file type icons for each file type that gets attached . For example, a zip file would use a zip icon thumbnail, a mp3 file would have a music icon thumbnail.
As it is the only default file icon is a blank sheet. I need an ideas if any as to how to allocate a different image file to the attachment based on it's type if it's possible that is.

Why not use File Upload Detect? http://vanillaforums.org/addon/fileuploaddetect-plugin
In case that doesn't ring your bell, you can use CSS or jQuery and the
$
selector to target specific filenames:Kasper Kronborg Isager (kasperisager) | Freelance Developer @Vanilla | Hit me up: Google Mail or Vanilla Mail | Find me on GitHub
Thanks @kasperisager ! I will check those out. I made my own file type icons and wanted to find out how I can use them few months ago I would have been huh? but I am slowly getting the hang of this , hope someday soon I can understand it as well as you do.

Thanks a bunch for the kind words and best of luck with implementing your icons!
By the way, I know you love CSS so I was wondering if you feel like cranking it up a notch and maybe start leaning SASS? It's super easy if you're comfortable with CSS and I could really use your help on a SASS project I'm working on. I finally decided rewriting all of Vanilla's CSS using Foundation and could use an extra pair of hands for designing mockups of UI components. Let me know!
