Vanilla 1.0 keeps showing Setup page

I'm trying to install Vanilla 1.0 (version 440 from SVN). I go through the install process and everything seems to work fine. At the end of the setup, I am told to "Have fun!" I click the link, and it routes me back to the first Setup page. My settings.php file looks OK, and all the permissions, etc. have been changed properly. Any ideas what is going on here? Thanks!

Your settings.php should contain:
$Configuration['SETUP_COMPLETE'] = '1';

If it doesn't add that line, even when you complete the setup, your conf/settings.php probably doesn't have write permissions.
Strange it doesn't give an error when it can't write though.
