Is it possible to make the forum homepage display "Categorys" where you can put sub categorys in like "discussion" and in that section you can make topics??
I would like to know. An exmaple would be like the MyBB community forum how there are "cateogrys" and "sub categorys" to post topics in, I would love to have this functionality with Vanilla as i have always have the function and would love to keep that function. It is the main reason why i am not using Vanilla on a live site atm.
So is it possible and if so how??

you can do this via the dashboard.
There was an error rendering this rich post.
Yes but how? I have been trying to figure this out and have not succeeded in figuring it out yet
OK so i figured it out basically to display it as categorys. Is it possible to make like sub categorys??
So i have a category named "test" and i would be able to have "test2" "test3" etc. inside the category "test"??? Like have the category and sub categorys displayed on the homepage instead of it just displaying
"

Like this is getting closer to what i wanted. But i am looking for something like this.
"test" (category)
Tes2
test3
test4
etc. (all sub categorys inside the housing category).
Like is that possible ?? Like how most forum software does this.
Category Headings plugin will do the trick.

Thank you. That is exactly what i wanted
Now is there a way to convert vbulletin to vanilla 2?? And where can i find some nice themes cause so far i havent found one nice theme.
I would love to have a nice theme to go with my site. Thanks
EDIT: Would this be possible to be converted to Vanilla? http://mods.mybb.com/view/blue-steel
Even that design would be nice on a vanilla forum. And i would never use that design on a mybb forum ever lol.
Search the site for Vanilla Porter to convert. As for themes, there's a section with them on the site. If you're not scared of a bit of css, you can adapt a similar theme to suit your own design, that's the best way to learn how Vanilla themes are put together.
OK & The mod that you had linked to me does not want to work with the latest version of Vanilla. http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/22814/issue-using
