How to implement a plugin?

I've inserted a plugin subdirectory I downloaded from here, and it's in the /plugins subdirectory, but the plug doesn't show up in the Dashboard. Do I need to do something more to make it show up so I can enable it?

    check your file permissions - and you extracted the zip? correct.

    I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

    Make sure the plugin is compatible with your version of Vanilla. How did you install the plugin in? did you extract it then ftp or direct upload to the server?

    I recommend http://filezilla-project.org to use for ftp uploads.

    Yes I do to, me making website and other things. I would recommend it even on top of payed ones.
