That's because it's only compatible with Vanilla 2.1 and not 2.0. Timeago relies on HTML5 microformats and these aren't used in 2.0.

@tingtanet, you can backport the necessary function so this plugin works with 2.0, but you're going to have to modify the core wherever you want to use relative times:
