MediaWiki integration

A long, long time ago, there was an extension for MediaWiki that allowed using Vanilla user accounts to log in to MediaWiki (although it required logging in to MW separately versus using Vanilla's login cookie). I haven't seen anything since then about something similar.
Has anyone done something like this?
