Extensions not showing up

edited June 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
When placing new add-ons or extensions in the extensions directory (in its own folder), vanilla is not recognizing it. Only when i move the extension into the same folder as the default ones does vanilla recognize it, but then i get permission errors.

Comments

  • What exactly is the path where it works and where it doesn't?

I think it has to be /extensions/ExtensionName/default.php
  • Which version of vanilla?

It sounds like you're putting add-ons for Vanilla 1 into a vanilla 0.9.2 installation.
  • mark, i think thats the case...there seems to be more add-ons for 1.0 than the stable release of 0.9.2
  • and i see that out of all the user created extensions, that only one is supported by 0.9.2
  • jaylaw81: it's time to switch to v1, I think ;)
  • jaylaw81, FWIW there are some more 0.9.2 extensions listed on the documentation pages. But yes, give v1.0 a whirl if you can.
  • It's not that only 1 addon out there supports 0.9.2, it's just only new ones have been put on the addons site really. There are some older ones which are on the wiki (were?)
  • Where do i get v1 at?
