limiting posting in specific forums

Its possible I missed it, but playing around with vanilla, I didn't see this. Is it possible to have a forum that everyone can see but only certain account types can post to? for example, you have an announcement forum, and you only want admins to be able to post to it, but want everyone to be able to read it. Is that something that can be done?

    Its part of the role permissions in v1. Something similar was discussed not too long ago but i forget what the title was.
