Donate Buttons in profile Activity ?

I was thinking that based on recent questions about where to donate and to whom and where to donate one billion dollars etc ... all jokes aside...

Is it allowed now that we have the technology in our profiles , to put a donate button there?

I ask not for me but for others who need and deserve the donations just to pay for their internet or the time they spent creating plugins and themes for people.

If this is not an option, I can host a page of donate buttons for anyone who needs a place to put it and link to it.
