Sorry I noticed that as soon as I uploaded it, but I've ammended it now (on both the .txt file and the actual .htaccess file itself) and I'm still not having any luck
Apologies for the late reply, was a little sidetracked with something at work.
Anyway, a huge thank you for signing up and for your help, it's odd how despite the long URLs etc it still links to the correct files eh?
Also, the hide discussion etc buttons still don't work, it brings up the confirmation dialog box but then does nothing As you pointed out though bookmark works just fine
That might be a bug with the extension. I had the same:
The extension from the addons page wasn't working, the one from the svn repository was working - or maybe I just messed up with permissions. Bug with Comment Protection 2.0
For Close/Sticky/Sink/Hide, I don't know. It work for me.

Curious why friendly urls isn't included by default. As far as I'm concerned no webapp should be without them these days. It's just silly to not have it on by default. Any host not running mod_rewrite isn't worth the money you're paying them.

They need to start by "RewriteRule" and finish by "[QSA,L]"

And then for the options (bookmark etc)...

For Close/Sticky/Sink/Hide, I don't know. It work for me. mod_rewrite is magic
I'm tempted to remove all of the extensions and start again thinking about it ;o Would you advise doing this or not?
