This is a Forum about Esperanto, the international language. Esperanto uses some accented letters (ĉ, Å, Ä, Ä¥, ĵ and Å), which a lot of users have trouble finding a way to type, in their systems. Transmogrifier allowed me to use a 'cheat' - users can type specific letter-pair combinations, which are automagically 'converted' for display by Transmogrifier into their right Esperanto accented characters. For instance, the user can type "c^", and that will be displayed in their comment as "ĉ". This is fantastic! - and one of the main reasons why I ended up picking Vanilla over other web Forums.
My only suggestion for improvement, would be better compatibility with the "Preview Post" extension - the one that puts the "Preview Post" button under the comment field. For some reason, the text displayed in the Preview is not transmogrified.
Once again, many, many thanks - and keep up the good work!
I'll check in on the Preview Post extension, to see what's wrong there.
Right now, Transmogrifier changes ONLY the text inside comments. Would it be possible to have it work ALSO on the TITLE of the discussions - for instance, when listing the discussions in the main index page? The shortcuts I described above for typing the Esperanto characters are obviously not working when someone is starting a new discussion, and types the discussion title in...
Also, this feature would be *extremely* useful for something else: in allowing people to replace the "Sticky", "Bookmarked", "Closed" and "Hidden" tags with small icons, as described in this discussion.
Would that be very hard to do?
Cheers

Transmogrifying more than just the text of comments would be amazingly useful!...
