Vanilla Version Question

Hello!
I am a complete newbie to Git(Hub), and I would just like some clarification on something. This GitHub branch, https://github.com/vanillaforums/Garden , is this the latest stable release of vanilla, or is this the latest commit made to the repository? If this is not the latest stable release, should I watch the bottom of http://vanillaforums.org to see the latest stable release?
I'm sure these are VERY simple questions, but I'm not much into GIT/Web development, only the installation and running of online scripts and software.

The GitHub page that you linked to shows the master branch of Vanilla, which is the latest development build. You can get the latest stable build through the download link at the top of these forums.
If you have any more questions in the future, feel free to ask and be sure to leave the version of Vanilla you're using and as many details as possible!
