Need to help to custom category style

in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8

Hello guys,

I have installed version of 2.0.18.8, when I access to mysite.com/categories/all it's show the style like below:

Now I want to customize this style look like:

How I can do it?, I'm trying research on Google, I found the link: https://github.com/vanillaforums/Garden/blob/2.1/applications/vanilla/views/categories/all.php having custom for this style, but when I overwrite it, it's not working and show an error.
So, please help me resolve it.

    Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Homepage

    and for categories ( third down ) select the Table layout

    @Tama, is it a 2.1+ only feature?

    Add Pages to Vanilla with the Basic Pages app

    I'm checked it, But I'm not see this option, it just only show "Enter the url to the page you would like to use as your homepage". Can I miss a plugin?

    @johntang it is a 2.1 feature ( got a bit confused by your github url where the branch was "2.1". You'll either how to update to 2.1 or wait for the next stable release of Vanilla.
