the "clear button" was broken in some versions of vanilla and worked in others. I haven't kept track - but that was its purpose.
I suggest you don't use vanilla 2.1b1. The idea, at least in my mind is, if you use beta versions, you should be at least hot on your feet, to upgrade to the most recently released beta version which at this point in time is 2.1b2.
always forgot to tell my version :disappointed: sry, im 2.1b1.
you could sign up as new user jeongwee_vanilla_2_1b1 - then i would know automatically .
It is unfortunate there is no "posting quideline announcement" because it is deemed useless because no one will read it.
I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

This is how the clear button shows up on a profile page:
The user posts a new activity message.
The new activity post gets copied to the user's info module with a link to clear it. The user info box shows the latest activity post.
Deleting the actual activity post won't remove the latest activity message from the user info box as they are separate.
The clear link lets you remove the latest activity message from the user info box.

thats why it says clear. as in clear out the shared activity box at top otherwise known as about field. but I can understand the difficulties if english is not your primary language. I went to your forum in chinese and I thought
now I understand why things must be hard to figure out for non-english speakers.

clear is to remove the activity you shared in the share box and removes it from about field and in activity table in vanilla 2.0.18.8 and probably other versions.
