pre tag (code)

I'm not sure if Vanilla comes with pre tag option to surround code entered into the forum or if there is a plugin that is stuck, but when I enter any type of code like sudo whatever the pre tag is automatically wrapped around it and display in colors that are unreadable when using the current theme that I'm using.
How do I either disable that feature? There is nothing in my plugins that should be causing it, unless it was a previous plugin that never fully disabled itself.
I tried changing the highlight colors but they are no where to be found in the .css file
any help is appreciated
thanks

@lxle
did you see the message at top of discussion forum??
list your plugins
list your theme, list your vanilla version.
and you should be able to style any element via css, if you find out in a web developer tool what element your are using.
try googleprettify plugin, that is what is used on this forum
I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
