I'm getting some strange errors on this site

From time to time, when I perform an action that makes an Ajax call, I get this response:
{"request":"\/1.1\/statuses\/update.json","error":"Read-only application cannot POST."}
Sometimes the action completes anyway (e.g. posting a comment or a new discussion), sometimes I can't really say (e.g. publishing something on Twitter). Sorry for not being able to give more details, that's all I know so far.

I have had this happen before on occasion. Usually when the server is ultra busy. Also get the your request can't be fulfilled at this time try later, but then it will post anyway.

I presume you have check google for solutions, regarding this twitter error?
grep is your friend.
It's not a Twitter error, it's a general error that also occurs when I tried to post a discussion, or a comment.

google it

I can see an explanation related to Twitter permissions, but I still don't see how that applies to comments and discussions. I'm not publishing them on Twitter, unless there's some setting enabled, of which I'm not aware.

my theory is the social icons and twitter, etc. take so long to load and slow down the forum appreciably for me that it creates problems posting as well.

ok, from googled

I don't use Twitter to log in but it is possible they need to re-authorize the app.
