Delete lingering "confirm email" users automatically

Is there a way or a plugin that can be set up to delete "confirm email" after a set period of time? None of my spam gets through but I still get hundreds of users that are spammers that just sit in the "confirm email" status forever. I used to go through and manually delete them but there are hundreds and I don't want to accidentally delete a real person that is just a day or two into the process and didn't yet reply to the confirm email post. I would like to just set up that after 7 days of being in "confirm email" that it just gets deleted with nothing to do on my end. Can it be done or is it a dumb idea? I guess they don't cause any harm in there but I just hate to see them.

I could write you a plugin like that. pledge or donation??
I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
I'm uneducated about such matters, so without seeming rude... What is an appropriate donation/pledge amount?
if you use application approval with http://vanillaforums.org/addon/registrationrestrictlogger-plugin and botstop you could probably rid yourself of alot of spammers.
Also would you settle for a plugin where you click delete unconfirmed from dashboard that would delete unconfirmed users that have not confirmed in N days (where you could set the days.).
there is no appropriate amount, what you think it is worth to you or what you could afford. but $5 won't get you far.

I use the "stop forum spam" and it is correct 99% of the time. I've never had a spammer get through. But unless they confirm the email that plug in doesn't flag them. So they never get in but they are in the roles as confirm email. I'll check out those two you just posted about.

pledge an amount you would honor via paypal.
