Awards Plugin Getting Fatal Error On Install
cpositive
New
I have followed all steps in regards to installing the Awards Plugin using Vanilla 2.0 and every time I try to enable the plugin the following error is received...any ideas?
The addon could not be enabled because it generated a fatal error:
Can't create table 'i196507_vf1.#sql-1319_502291' (errno: 150)|Gdn_Database|Query|
ALTER TABLE vf_UserAwards
ADD CONSTRAINT FK_UserAwards_User
FOREIGN KEY (UserID)
REFERENCES vf_User
(UserID)
ON DELETE NO ACTION
ON UPDATE NO ACTION

maybe these will help give you some insights.
try googling "errno: 150 myql"
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/innodb-foreign-key-constraints.html

Another useful guide to troubleshoot such kind of errors: MySQL Error Number 1005 Can’t create table ‘.\mydb#sql-328_45.frm’ errno: 150.

Thank you all, I figured out the issue and the plugin is now enabled. vf_User needed to be changed to innodb mode in Mysql and then I manually added the relationship info and viola! Such a simple fix yet it took me 3 hours...I am a tad rusty on my "Mysql" techniques. Thanks again ya'll.
Well done! (voilà)

Oops... at least I've spelled "Aelia" correct...
Off topic: I noticed that "Aelia" is surprising difficult for many people to spell, let alone pronounce. I chose it because it's so easy for me, coming from Latin, and it's short too. For the record, it means "sun".

I would have called it Peregrine.
Some day - maybe in our lifetime (or possibly the Sun's lifetime) - People will read the directions in the read me and the documentation. and description, and the requirements. step by step.

Pronouncing is no problem for me: we even have a dedicated letter for "ae". Though I'm not sure if "Älia" would be right...
It would, that's precisely the pronunciation (I know because half of my family is German).
