Permission issue: All users have access to admin panel

I was taking my site for a test run to check out if my login and registration were working properly and when I registered as a new user, and logged in to the forum, I had full access to the admin panel. In fact, the account had my admin name in the user data field. I checked permission and everything was as it should be, new subscribers,members do not have admin permissions. Does any one know what I can do to fix the problem?

If I remember right you were asking about jsConnect. I suspect that this is the problem.
I do not know enough about jsConnect to be of any help, but it could be a help for others if you could validate that this is a jsConnect related problem - and also state your Vanilla version

Yes I do believe this could be a related js-connect issue. With some help, the log-out problem and captcha problem were solved. Vanilla 2.1b

So what you re saying is is it connected to the wrong user rather just being the wrong permissions.

Wild guess - the cause is the same described here: Warning: Potentially serious security issue if you use jsConnect and reinstall your site.
