Help needed by new user

I have just upgraded my community from a facebook group to a vanilla forum. This is my first time administrating and setting up a forum, and I am requesting help on the following:

  1. I would like to know how to create hyperlinks from words and phrases in my forum. I can paste a full link address and that works fine, but I cannot paste a link from other documents. My forum is now full of long web addresses and links. Which plugin do I need to create hyperlinks from single words?

  2. I would like to have a link to my existing facebook group and youtube channel on my homepage.

  3. I would like my users to have access to the full list of users for messaging purposes, and if I could group my users into their different countries and provinces it would be a great.

If anyone can assist me with these topics I would be truly grateful.

    1 - the url option in buttonbar.

    2 - add it via theme customization or messages from dashboard or pockets plugin or any number of the social link plugins. look in the add-ons section

    3 - you could use http://vanillaforums.org/addon/memberslistenh-plugin or some of the mentions plugins. you could group by categories

    probably a good idea to skim the documentation page, the add-ons, and the wiki, and search the forum. most questions can be answered or have already been answered in one of the above mentioned resources.

    I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

    Hi, yes you can use an editor like cleditor or button bar depending on your version of Vanilla.
    They have the same features as here where you can select a word and add a link to it.

    You can add anything you want via the default.master.php of your theme or via a plugin like add menu item plugin.

    You would need to use a custom theme or create one in order to correctly add things into the default.master of your theme.

    Practically all you want , there is a plugin for it. Just search the addon section for themes and plug ins.
