Problem with Page Management 2.2

edited July 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
hi all, i have a problem with the add-on "Page Management 2.2". I have create a new page with only the content html-content "test" :) I have check all groups, but i could only access the page if i'm loghed in. If I'm not logged in I see the tab in the menu, but if i click on it will open the discussion-page... Have someone some hint for me :)

Comments

  • Please make sure that there isn't an url specified on the page you created.
  • no i only write in the field "Page HTML" the word "Test". If I'm logged in, I could change to this page and see the "Test"... Tab Name = Testpage Tab Identifier = testpage Tab Attributes = [blank] Tab Url = [blank] Page HTML= Test I have checked all... Unathenticated, Banned, Member, Administrator ...
  • Have you tried deleteing the page, and then re-creating it? A problem with the visibility of the tabs may be because the Testpage tab is viewable to all (Unathenticated, Banned, Member, Administrator), but the page that it opens is not viewable to everyone. See if your discussions page is selected to allow everyone to view it. You could also try to assign an URL to the TestPage to see if that corrects the view problem. Maybe something like http://yoursite.com/vanilla/search/?PostBackAction=Search&Keywords=&Type=Users Sorry I'm not too helpful... very new to Vanilla. But it's quite nice :)

Sounds like something's not quite right with the way it handles guests. EDIT: Ah, found it. I'll upload it when I get the other problem sorted out.

hmm i tried it with fresh installation of vanilla 1 and only as extension the Page Management 2.2. Only could browse the page if i'm logged as a member. http://www.planetworm.de/vanilla/ ---- EDIT: see the edit :) good :)
  • sorry for my impatience :) could you say me when your new release will come out ? or how i could fix this ? :)
  • Actually, I believe all you really have to do is comment out the line that says $Context->Session->Check($Configuration); (near the bottom), if you'd rather fix it yourself. The reason I'm waiting to 're-release' it is because I'd first like to get as many kinks sorted out as possible.
