Splitting threads

It would be good if an extension was made to split threads. I see it could be done by having a link on the left that would take the forum into a split thread mode :P It would relod with every thread in the discussion yet would exclude images. Then you could select the posts down the list (rather not use checkboxes sometihng abit cooler) and at the bottom would be a box to send them to and a field where the discussion name could be filled in so it would make a new thread. Then when you click confirm it would make the thread, change the dicusscusion id of selcted, and the recount the number of posts in that thread for the number of comments in mysql.
