Whole page freezes when trying to remove post

Whenever I try to remove a comment or discussion on my forums it just freezes the entire page where I have to reload the page yet the comment or discussion is still there, I have to open up MySQL and delete the comment or discussion to completely remove it.
I also want to note that two scrollbars appear on the right of the screen whenever I do this.
