Some weird looking listings

As you can see in the attach pictures, the items on the Categories above aren't on the same height and the categories in the sidebar aren't intended the same way. The categories aren't even nested that way.
And the twitter widget looks really weird, cause it isn't in the middle of the background-shape, but fits fine in other themes 
BTW: I have always, on every resolution a horizontal scrollbar.
Are there any fixes for these things?
