Porter phpBB3 to Vanilla avatars problem

I converted from MyBB to phpBB3 succesfully and then went for Vanilla after that. The export tool worked correctly, and everything went fine except that none of the avatars were imported to Vanilla.

If I open the image src it shows a path like this: http://vanilla.example.com/uploads/phpbb/ne89dfc4ba83f35f0e30843d0068dfa18_1361.jpg

There is no such folder on my server. Please help me.

if these are physical files you can just copy them over.
