Yay its back up! Thank you all so much for your help.
One more question - would you have any advise or courses etc that I could try to learn more about this and web design? Thanks
Yes, read other people's forum questions. Alot of people come to the forum ask a question and never read other ones (the ones that don't pertain to their problem). You can learn a whole lot by reading forum questions on a regular basis.
skim ALL the documentation - even if you don't understand it.

books on php, css and web design. and tutorials on the web.
I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
Thank you. I've been trying to go through the forum and I'm learning alot - its just whether I can absorb it all, haha.
it takes time. some people expect to learn it in a day. I'm not saying you. But it is a long process.
here are some other links that might be helpful
if you know php and a bit about MVC. you will love vanilla. If you don't know MVC, you can see it in action in vanilla. It is also a great tool for improving your css, php, jquery, skills, writing your own plugins, themes, applications, etc.

Brilliant thanks, I'll work my way through those. Don't know php or MVC (apart from it used to be a DVD/CD/Video shop years ago, lol).
Just been reading some of the tutorials on here too, looking forward to having a go and trying to get my site to look like how I picture it in my head.

Add Pages to Vanilla with the Basic Pages app
It is a little off topic from the original thread but it is helpful info nevertheless. Thanks
@HLouise, I would suggest you start a new thread for a new question so it would be less confusing to follow thread. Thanks
@underdog
